Focus on a hole-in-one …

…   to practice close-ups using only the 18-55mm lens which was not on macro setting

I’d like to be as compact as possible when hubby and I go on our overseas trip in July, mainly as it’s an organised coach trip which we’ve never done before ..

.. and space is limited for personal stuff such as cameras, lens’, bags etc

On our Ireland trip, hiring a car, we had plenty of space in the car !

I also think taking ‘the best shot’ of a building/monument/countryside scene will be tricky in my case.  I like to try to get the best angle etc – naturally ! – but keeping up with a group of fellow travellers will be my biggest challenge 😉   !!

My ol’ faithful little handbag-special-point-and-shoot Panasonic will be coming along as my back up!!!!!    As for my new Canon, I need more practice for quick thinking countryside scenery/chateau shots  🙂  !!

I think a trip down to the Cape – to see my Mum – would work 😉   !!

p.s.   A ‘Granny/Mom Speciality choccie birthday cake’ for my golf-crazy son, Carl!!  It was his birthday yesterday 🙂     37 he is now .. shhhh .. that means I’m getting older too !
… and he’s my second born !!

I gave him the cake yesterday to share with Nicole and Erin when they got home from work – hope they enjoyed it !
