Cappuccino at The Pudding Shop

Cappuccino at The Pudding Shop

Tuesdays are my days off .. meaning I don’t go to yoga, pilates or gym, and neither does hubby.    It’s Jackie’s walk-in-the-veld-day first thing in the morning, and then what?  !!  Before hubby retired, I used to potter around at home either in the garden or in the house and then fetch the boys from school.   Don’t feel like doing all that at the moment, maybe because it’s winter !!

We are now finding new places to have a nice cappuccino .. on Tuesdays.    It’s far less busy than over weekends.   Traffic and parking is easy, everyone including waitrons are pleasant – happy smiley faces all round !     There are many, many places here that we haven’t tried.   We now have the opportunity,  so we shall endeavour to partake in some morning sustainance and a little scrumptious nibbly and I will share our experiences 🙂

Jeanette suggested The Pudding Shop, a delightful rustic place behind La Cucina di Ciro in Parktown North.   What a find!!    They’re closed on Mondays : open Tuesdays to Sundays for breakfast lunch and dinner.    We were the only ones there, warmly welcomed and sat a table with the sun streaming through the roof trusses.   Really good cups of coffee …

The bowl on the table is made out of folded and woven aluminium foil ..

We shared a slice of Espresso and Fig cake … oooh yumm!!   Light, fresh and tasty .. we know next time to have a slice each !!

I love the feel of this outside-inside place  …

I believe the Tiramisu is ‘to die for ‘ …… and so is the créme brulée …  .. … … … !

A return visit is a definite !   We need to try the breakfast .. the lunch … and the dinner 🙂

Any more suggestions and ideas on where we can go on our Tuesdays would be appreciated and welcome ? !!  🙂
