Avignon, Provence # 3

Avignon, Provence # 3

Sadly, we’re coming to the end of our walk-about around¬†part of the ancient town of Avignon ūüôĀ¬†¬†¬† Passed a mouth-watering chocolate-nougat-and-other-yummy-goodies shop¬†and couldn’t resist but to go in and browse ūüôā¬†¬†¬†Yes, I said browse .. I have¬†one huge regret .. not buying anything from the chocolate-nougat-and-other-yummy-goodies shop!!

Look at the size of that nougat, (!!!)¬† which is bought by the slice/slices and weighed …

.. and look at those chocolate ‘logs’¬† !!!¬†¬† Tasting of flavoured chocolate pastes¬†is all on trust!!

Back into the street again .. from chocolate to soap!   Boxes of all different shapes, sizes and perfumed soaps ..

Lavender wafts in the air too, and not surprising as there are several shops with lavender crafts ..

.. and bundles of dried lavender …

Rendezvous with the bus¬† (end of part one of day 3) … ¬†leaving the beautiful¬†ancient town of Avignon behind, heading for Monaco and walk-about there, before¬†a 2-night¬†stop-over in Nice.¬†¬†¬† En route to highway, the road follows the Rh√īne River .. a lovely spot for boating ..

  1. Jeepers – those nougat bars are huge! I hope you bought some lavender – always a favourite of mine! The guys will be at Benmore Shopping Centre on Saturday morning. Really hoping this project turns out well. Our president has a hearing problem and he wears hearing aids. He is really passionate about helping the less fortunate! ūüôā Thanks for your support!
