Our last dinner in Paris
Recommended by the concierge at our hotel, hubby and I had a wonderful evening out .. our last night in Paris, after an amazing holiday in France filled with wonderful memories of places, experiences and above all, new friendships along the way.
Within walking distance of the hotel, we experienced French hospitality and excellent food and French wine (of course!) at it’s very best in an intimate elegant restaurant called L’Épopée (The Epic). Nightlife in Paris starts late in the evening .. we were the first patrons there! In fact, the two friends who run the restaurant, one the chef and the other in-front-of-house, were sitting outside enjoying the warm evening, the sun still high, not nearly ready to sink down for the night! By the end of the evening, all tables were full (and there were only about 10, with two on the pavement)
A taster to begin with … raw tuna (we are not sushi lovers – but this was delicious!)
Starters : hubby had a selection of foie gras .. fried, baked and ‘au natural’ .. mm mm all delish !!!
I had a fresh vegetable spring roll – French style – served with fresh salad .. also absolutely delicious !
Mains : hubby had rack of lamb served with fresh veges .. tender, moist, perfectly cooked and ever so yummy !!
I had the most perfectly cooked, and tasty fish (cannot remember what type or what it was served with .. rice, crushed potato or palenta !! honestly cannot remember ) … with a shellfish jus .. yummm!!
We both couldn’t resist créme brulée for dessert !! Wow .. it was soooo good!! .. the best !… and there were two on the plate !!! Bonus !!! 🙂
Coffee and a tasty morsel to end our last dinner in Paris .. memorable 🙂
A stroll to Pont de Grenelle over the River Seine twinkling with reflections ..
This is when we came across the river cruises which I wrote about in a previous post ..
Dinner cruises on the Seine are also popular …
A wonderful way to end our France holiday ………. although I haven’t finished documenting ‘snippets of Paris’ on my blog 😉 !!

What a beautiful setting!
The food looks amazing and at least the portions seems a good size. Some more amazing sights as well. I love the pics of the Eiffel Tower in lights
