Our Cape visit … Hermanus
Hubby and I spent a few days with Cheryl and Bob in Hermanus .. catching up on family news and other, walking along cliff paths and beach sand, a spot of wine tasting, and whale spotting (one day only there was a pod of Bryde’s whales fairly close to the coast)
Pretty lilies amongst the very dry fynbos (if anyone knows the name of them, I would be grateful 🙂 ) Thanks Cheryl .. it’s a Gladiolus Carmineus .. very pretty and the only spot of colour amongst the dull greens and greys at the moment. The colours of the fynbos is beautiful when in full flower .. purples, pinks, whites, yellows etc
This little fellow ‘scurried’ across our path and hid himself under the fynbos ..
Bob takes Tanna for his walk along the cliff paths twice a day .. he loves it
.. but is pooped when he returns home 🙂
Watch this space for more pics from Hermanus ….

Thanks Cheryl .. it’s very pretty
I haven’t been to Hermanus for ages. Used to go quite often when I was still guiding, but not recently.
