A rustic chapel in the Lake Eland Game Reserve, Oribi Gorge

We have been back from our holiday for a week already and am only now going through my photographs.  Shocking, I know !!!  Hubby and I spent a few days with my cousin Barry in Ramsgate, South Coast followed by 10 days relaxing in Ballito on the North Coast with Elaine, Bryan and little Emma.  I’ve taken loads of photos, mainly as one would guess, of little Emma.   Cuddles with Emma in the mornings, Emma on the beach and Emma in the sea.  Not my usual beach holiday pics !!!   But precious moments indeed.   Some were milestone moments which we were lucky enough to share.

I thought I’d begin with a chapel, seeing as we sat most of yesterday watching the Royal Wedding on TV whilst sipping tea and eating scones topped with strawberry jam and cream.

It’s a rustic chapel situated in the Lake Eland Game Reserve.  We spent a morning with Barry driving through the game reserve, set in the magnificent Oribi Gorge .. photos of which will follow.  In the meantime, here is the chapel, which on approach, we thought had been damaged by fire.  Not so !!

That’s a real growing tree !!

When nature creeps in …

I loved the rusty old bell ..

The old chapel on the hill …

The chapel is situated not too far from the main gate, chalets and conference facilities where wedding receptions are held.
